The women on this list add a shrimp something extra to these films of the sci-fi genre. Since many of these films are made to appeal more to a male audience, they need a sexy woman thrown in somewhere so they’re not just all smooth of futuristic fight scenes. Sigourney Weaver as Ripley in Alien
The character of Ripley in the Alien film franchise is a complex one, and Sigourney Weaver really pulls it off. Alien is one of the few great sci-fi films to feature a female as the lead, so it was very groundbreaking. While we may almost forget that Ripley is a woman earlier in the film because she asserts herself as the one in charge and is the strongest character in the film, we are definitely reminded of her vulnerability and her sex as she confronts the alien in nothing more than some incredibly thin underwear.

Princess Leia’s character may have seemed a petite, well, prudish throughout the Star Wars trilogy, and all we see her in is a long, flowing white robe. Then, whoa! The slave outfit Jabba the Hutt makes her wear, a teeny tiny metal bikini, turns this romantic interest/heroine into a sex symbol. It really has to be one of the sexiest costumes ever made, and Carrie Fisher’s body is just unreal. I was absolutely stunned at how amazing she looked the first time I ever saw the film, and I’m sure that, to this day, it’s peaceful the current scene of many Star Wars fans.

What is it about a woman in tight, shiny letter that packs a lot of heat? Carrie-Anne has very soft, sensual eyes, but the rest of her face has very sharp features, which is the perfect eye for this role. Trinity is as hardcore of a heroine as they come, and all of her martial arts skills, firearms, and her tough exterior may make her seem like she’s lost her feminine side, but we eventually find out that that’s not true.

So Daryl Hannah’s character of Pris doesn’t get much screen time, but that makes her even more alluring, in my opinion. Hannah makes a wonderful “replicant” with her surreal beauty and long limbs. Her character has an interesting sense of style: very dark, eclectic and punk rock (she is an android, after all). This beautiful being is very considerable, but very elusive, and it all adds to her magnetic mystique.

This is one of those films that is so unpleasant it almost makes it fun to watch. Or it could unbiased be fun to watch because you get to see so worthy of Jane Fonda. She wears some of the funkiest, most revealing outfits ever seen in a sc-fi film, and she gets plenty of costume changes (but loses them quite a bit, as well). The film has become a camp classic thanks to Fonda’s beauty and all of the silly sexual references; there are plenty of phallic symbols, some “sexual torture” scenes, and a little bit of lesbianism; as well as its bizarre sets and characters, and it’s definitely worth watching if you haven’t seen it.

Well, she doesn’t talk too much, and guys should like that about her, right? I guess Charlton Heston’s character had to have a appreciate interest (or I guess she was probably more of a sex interest). Linda Harrison may be dirty and dressed in rotting animal skins, but she quiet manages to look incredibly sexy. Her IQ isn’t very high and she acts more animal than human, but who cares? She’s hot!

She may play a wife that really can’t be trusted in this futuristic thriller about messing with the mind, but no matter how unfriendly a character Sharon Stone plays, she’s always sexy. Her role as the wife of Douglas Quaid (played by California’s current governor) got her cast in her next and most celebrated part in the film Basic Instinct, and it’s not hard to see why. She just seems to be at her sexiest when she’s stabbing someone in the relieve.

What can I say, I’m a sucker for redheads. Well, the character Milla Jovovich plays in this film has more of a bright orange hair color, but she’s composed incredibly cute/sexy in her skimpy futuristic outfits. It’s no wonder that Leelo is a “perfect being”. I have to say I don’t remember much else about this film other than being entranced by Jovovich, except that it was very sparkling and quick-witted, and she made it even brighter (oh yeah, she was also the key to saving mankind).

It was nice to see a female terminator in this franchise for a change. The world didn’t know the name Kristanna Loken before this film, but after seeing her do battle with the original terminator in tight red leather, everyone was talking about this red-hot blonde. She really gives new meaning to the words “she’s got the looks that kill”.

I guess I honest have a major crush on Natalie Portman. She’s got the girl-next-door looks with a little bit of sex appeal. These films may have been a bit of a disappointment to many Star Wars fans, but at least you get to see plenty of Natalie toting around weapons in a tight white futuristic outfit. It’s unprejudiced too bad they couldn’t find an excuse to put her in a slave outfit in any of these films.

The films on this list are perfect for the geek in everyone. They’ve got plenty of action, futuristic technology, and some graceful women to balance it all out. In my conception, these women are often more memorable than the films themselves in some cases (though I know some sci-fi fanatic would probably bite my head off for saying this).
